Single Dog Crew Seeking Humans
About Us:
HI there - We are the dogs of Richmond Animal League. Big, small, shy, wiggly—we’ve all got one thing in common: we’re looking for dedicated humans to make our days brighter. Our kennels are the heart of the action, and we need walking buddies, cuddle experts, and cleanup partners who aren’t afraid to get a little muddy. We are looking for a long-term commitment (2–3 hours a week will do).
About You:
You’re a true dog person. You don’t flinch at paw prints on your jeans or fur on your sweater. You’re calm, patient, and steady, but also playful and energetic. You can lift 50 lbs (aka: carry a big bag of food or give a boost to a chunky pup), and you don’t mind bending, scrubbing, or scooping—because you know love comes with chores.
Must love dogs (duh).
Comfortable with long walks, slobbery kisses, and muddy pawprints.
Willing to clean up after us (true love means scrubbing kennels sometimes).
Patient, calm, but secretly excited when we zoom around like maniacs.
18+ and strong enough to lift 50 lbs (aka: one chonky doggo or a big bag of kibble).
What We’ll Do Together:
Strolls around the yard (you hold the leash, we lead the way).
Playtime (tug-of-war champions welcome).
Snuggles (we’re professional snugglers).
Teamwork: laundry, dishes, and all the behind-the-scenes magic that keeps tails wagging.
What You Get:

A crew of fellow dog lovers who totally “get” you.
Training so you know exactly how to be our hero.
