Creative Critters

The mission of Creative Critters is to inspire, inform, and empower the next generation of pet guardians and animal advocates. Through engaging activities and educational experiences, children learn the importance of animal care and advocacy in a fun and interactive setting.

Program Details

Age Groups:

  • Ages 5 - 8 (10 kids max): Parents must stay with their children during the event.

  • Ages 9 - 14 (15 kids max): One adult chaperone is required for every three children.

Duration: 1.5 hours

Activities:

  1. Introduction to Richmond Animal League (RAL): Learn about the mission, values, and daily operations of RAL.

  2. Craft Activity: Participate in a craft project designed to benefit the enrichment of animals at RAL.

    • Ages 5 - 8: Simple, hands-on crafts suitable for younger children.

    • Ages 9 - 14: More advanced crafts tailored to older participants.

  3. Facility Tour: Explore our facilities, meet some of our animals, and see firsthand how we care for our furry friends.

Requirements: Parents must sign a waiver prior to the event via computer
