Sugar & Spice is Richmond Animal League’s annual benefit and silent auction, and one of our most magical nights of the year. It’s an evening where compassion meets cocktails and every moment helps pets who need a second chance.

For 2026, we’re excited to bring Sugar & Spice to a new home — The Science Museum of Virginia. Guests will enjoy music, delicious food, a silent and live auction, an open bar, and more, all in support of lifesaving care for pets in need.

RAL is committed to providing hope, help, and loving homes to animals in need. Last year alone, we welcomed more than 2,100 cats and dogs and provided over 7,300 spay and neuter surgeries. None of this would be possible without the kindness and generosity of people like you.

Small Art with Big Heart

Sugar & Spice is home to the ever-popular Small Art with Big Heart auction. Every year, participants have a chance to take home one-of-a-kind pieces of artwork. Each piece is made with love by members of our very own RVA community, including student art from local schools.

Many attendees have begun collecting these small artworks, typically 6x6 inches, adding a new piece to their collection every year at Sugar & Spice.
