RAL’s 2025 Dog Mascot!
Written by Kaia’s Family
Kaia is a seven year old Great Pyrenees that was rescued from a puppy mill when she was about two years old. Despite a rough start to life, Kaia’s love for people has always shined through. Kaia loves children, loves ice cream (in moderation of course), and loves snuggling on couches and in bed. You would never know this sweet girl was too scared to even come inside of a building when she was first rescued!
At about 3 years old, Kaia’s parents knew something was wrong; she had a hard time gaining weight and breathing. It was discovered she had been living with a severe diaphragmatic hernia, likely since she was a puppy which required a really scary and an extensive surgery. She knew her family needed her though and pulled through, gaining 30 pounds almost immediately!
Now Kaia spends her life lounging in any high place that she can find, keeping a watch over her surroundings and protecting her 3 other fur siblings, her parents Ryder and Heather Mull, and her human siblings Alyssa, Connor and Lindsay.
Kaia is so excited to be RAL’s 2025 mascot and looks forward to showing how wonderful rescues are!
